Logical Device Icon Components

The Logical Device icon consists of several areas providing information

pertaining to the device (refer to Figure 2-2). These areas have the following

functions:

Device Label

Displays the type of physical device being modeled.

Ring Speed

Displays the speed of the ring (4M or 16M).

Menu Selection Description

Close Closes the current window.

Navigate Opens the Navigator sub-menu, allowing you to Navigate

In or Up.

Alarms Opens the Alarm View containing alarms (if any) for the

model.

Performance Opens the Ring Performance View.

Notes Opens the SPECTRUM Notes facility for the device.

Utilities Opens the Utilities sub-menu, allowing you to access

utilities you have purchased for SPECTRUM, such as

SpectroGUARDIAN.

Physical Device Opens the TRXI Physical Device View.

DevTop Opens the TRXI Device Topology View.

Error Detail Opens the Ring Error Detail View.

Frame Detail Opens the Ring Protocol & Frame Size Detail View.

Application Opens the TRXI Application View.

Stations Opens the Ring Station Table View.

Conﬁguration Opens the Ring Conﬁguration View.

Model Information Opens the Model Information View.

Change Module Mode Displays the Change Module Mode View, which allows you

to toggle the mode of the module between Management

and Auto.

Enable All Station Ports Displays the Enable All Station Ports view, which allows

you to enable all the station ports on the module.

Enable All Ring Ports Displays the Enable All Ring Ports view, which allows you

to enable all the ring ports on the module.
